Golf pro Calum heads to Dollar

28th July 2009 Print
Central Golf Fans are in for a treat at Dollar Golf Club on 4th August. Not only are Scotland’s top amateurs playing three rounds on Dollar, but Rookie European Pro Calum Macaulay will be there to help Dollar’s cause.

Spectators will be able to test their golfing skills against those of Calum’s with a “Beat the Pro” challenge. Dollar members are delighted to welcome Calum and for his help and support in the club’s fundraising efforts.

Spectators are in for a real treat as also on display will be The World and European trophies won by Gavin Dear and Wallace Booth, Scotland’ s two top ranked amateurs. But who will win the Eagle and Birdie Challenge? Will the local knowledge of Scott Borrowman, who recently retained his County Strokeplay championship prevail over Gavin and Wallace – or will dark horse Gordon Yates find that his renowned short game gives him the advantage over the short Dollar course.

It is all happening for golfers on the 4th – come to Dollar and enjoy the spectacle. Tee off times are 8 am 12 midday and 4 pm. Entrance is free. And remember great prizes are on offer for winning the competition – see dollargolfclub.com for how to enter. Don’t miss this great spectacle!
