Sri Lanka's answer to the Highland Fling

Brand new for 2009, The Ranganika Dance Troup from the west of Sri Lanka will be bringing their exciting brand of pulsating drumming, vibrant costumes, daring fire and spooky devil mask dances to the Scottish Capital.

Dancers from the group will be performing traditional and enchanting Sri Lankan dances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival throughout August as part of the country's plans to promote tourism through its culture and heritage.
