On the trail of Scotland’s favourite cafés

14th August 2007 Print
Scottish cafe trail The best cafés in Scotland large and small could now be officially recognised as part of the brand new Scottish Café Trail being developed by VisitScotland. The trail is open to suggestions from all areas of Scotland.

To nominate their most memorable or favourite café experiences, visitors and locals alike are being encouraged to log onto the VisitScotland Café Trail website and describe their day and memorable experience. The best overall description will then earn the writer a luxury break for two to Argyll in Scotland.

It could be renowned for the location, nearby activities, atmosphere, service or simply amazing cakes not to mention a warming drink after a long day walking in the hills, the experience the café provides is its key testimonial.

Suzanne Casey: Group product manager, Freedom said:

“We are keen to hear of the experiences enjoyed by the many people who come and enjoy varied breaks in Scotland, whatever people get up to on their holidays they often include a café stop to relax and discuss their trip highlights.”

Nominations will be accepted until the end of September with judging taking place in October and the launch of the trail following in November.

To enter your experience, your favourite café and the description of why it is the most memorable log onto Visitscotland.com/cafetrail and write that award winning description.
