Galaxy of stars at a gala night in Singapore

Dubbed as Asia’s Jet Set Event of the Year, the IndoChine Festival’s highlight was the Copacabana-themed Gala Dinner which attracted plenty of opportunity for guests from Europe and the Middle East to establish an Asian network and strike potential business partnerships.
President of Monacao Investments, Francesco Bongiovanni, says the reason he travelled from Monaco to Singapore was, “Precisely for this party. IndoChine have the best parties, and the venue is fantastic especially by the water. It’s very international with people from all over. Michael Ma and Camilla are great hosts and it’s been a lot of fun. It was worth flying for 12 hours to be here.”
“The highlight of tonight was seeing old friends from Europe. It is great to see that Singapore is becoming more and more of a place where people can party, as well as do some business at the same time. This is not my first IndoChine Festival and I intend not to miss next years either,” he adds.
Influential world players were invited to the event which was designed to create a forum for fundraising for charitable causes and also to facilitate an exchange of ideas amongst industry leaders.
Guest speaker at the gala, world leading expert on the environment and sustainable growth, Dr. Ashok Khosla who travelled from New Delhi extended his thanks to his hosts saying, “What an incredible event - one of the most amazing mixtures of the brain, the body and the soul. We’ve had a great night.”
Well known local Regional Head of Berwin Leighton Paisner, Mr. Paul Supramaniam, said, “This is amazing because Singapore has really become a microcosm of the U.N. Michael Ma has almost single-handedly created that sense of oneness, dynamism and excitement.
And not only that but it’s style with a social conscious. We’ve seen it tonight with Professor Khosla. This can actually point the way towards some sense of social conscious in relation to the environment and making a positive contribution out of Singapore to the areas that are less privileged. Tonight is not just fun, but fun with a heart.
The week-long IndoChine Festival was created in part to position Singapore as a world-class destination but more notably as a superior leisure and lifestyle destination. The annual dinner has become the highlight of the festival throughout the years giving guests a platform to network in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
“I arrived in Singapore today for the first time on my way to Hong Kong and Macau. My close friend the Brazilian ambassador invited me as his guest and I’ve had such a great time. They should do something like this in Brazil,” said businessman Mr. Renato Zaratz having travelled all the way from Brazil.
“IndoChine has established a global jet-set party reputation throughout the years and tonight was no exception. It is unbelievable to see how much effort our friends from around the world have gone to just to be here to support us tonight,” concluded Mr. Michael Ma, CEO of the IndoChine Group.
