New in North Cyprus

Enchanting Beauty
North Cyprus is the Med’s best kept secret: Loved for its slow pace of life, value for money and delightful village-feel, it combines beautiful bays and enchanting sights with a sunny climate all year round, making it an ideal get-away for every season.
Not only is North Cyprus relaxing and hospitable but it’s also a great destination for tour operators to sell and market because it’s still one of the very few unspoilt holiday destinations left in the Mediterranean and clients have a genuine curiosity about what there is to see and do.
Today, however, North Cyprus is also fast becoming one of the most coveted destinations for tourists, as exciting new developments mean there is greater capacity, improved standards and plenty to inspire...
First Pro 18-hole Golf Course Opens in North Cyprus
North Cyprus’ first international six-nation golf tournament was held at the Korineum Golf and Country Club on 28th-29th September 2007, the first event of its kind in 30 years. The Korineum Golf and Country Club is North Cyprus’s first professional 18-hole golf course and golf academy, which opened to great international acclaim in April 2007.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Beºparmak (Five Finger) Mountains on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other, this stunning golf course in Esentepe, Girne (Kyrenia), has been carved from a natural forest of Umbrella Pines and Olive trees and enjoys magnificent views across the Mediterranean coastline – a unique and beautiful setting. New Luxury and Boutique Hotels
From the exquisitely boutique to those offering unabashed luxury, North Cyprus is delighted to announce the opening of several new hotels and resorts, almost doubling room capacity in 2007. An array of new and luxury hotels have greatly improved standards and increased capacity – from five star deluxe hotels to smaller boutique offerings, there is something to satisfy any taste or budget.
Eco-tourism Initiatives
As the market for responsible tourism develops worldwide, North Cyprus is setting an inspiring example with a number of new eco-tourism initiatives that are making a real and visible difference to conservation, the island’s natural heritage and the economies of local communities. Exciting initiatives in 2007 include the launch of the Buyukkonuk eco-village tourism project, incorporating the Delcraft centre (Ecotourismcyprus.com) - and the new Kyrenia Mountain Trail (Kyreniamountaintrail.org), supplementing other more established projects such as the turtle conservation projects on the island (Seaturtle.org/mtrg/projects/cyprus/).
