World Travel Guide launches photo competition

Worldtravelguide.net, one of the web’s most comprehensive travel information sites, has announced the launch of its first ever photo competition. They are looking for breathtaking travel-related pictures that will bring the world to your computer screen.

The site is looking for imaginative, striking photos that illustrate the beauty of our world. From landmarks, monuments, carnivals and festivals to ancient buildings and modern landscapes, once-in-a-lifetime events to everyday life. The best shots will be showcased on the website for million users all over the world to view. The best photograph, as selected by World Travel Guide’s panel of judges, will receive a digital camera.

The five categories are:

-People
-Flora and fauna
-Festivals
-Off the beaten track

This global photo competition is free of charge, and both professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit photos. The deadline for entries is 1st February 2008.
