10th January 2008 Print
Tour operator Page & Moy is flying up the league tables according to the latest Tour Operator Survey from Holiday Which? Page & Moy climbed a massive 31 places from last year to take 7th place in the 2007 survey.

The survey, which was based on customer satisfaction scores across several categories including accommodation, resort, tour rep and value for money, saw Page & Moy score highly in each section. The increase in scores reflects the company’s expanded range of tours and ongoing commitment to offering a diverse portfolio of holidays, unique to anything found on the High Street.

The 2007 survey, which was based on a sample size of 3916 panel members, noted that “customers of Page & Moy are more likely than average to rate them as very good value for money”.

The breakdown of results is as follows:

Accommodation
Page & Moy was awarded third place in this category due to its portfolio of unusual and quirky accommodation often to be found in stunning locations. Guests are able to stay in award winning castles, country houses, converted farm houses and former palaces. For example, on the 8-day “Hidden Italy - Apulia & Basilicata” tour from just £719, guests stay in the 4-star Grand Hotel La Chiusa di Chietri, which features accommodation in converted Trulli’s. Dating back some 5,000 years, these unique beehive style structures with cone-shaped roofs can only be found in this region of Italy.

Resort
Page & Moy was also awarded third place in the resorts category. The company has a reputation for taking customers away from the usual tourist spots and off the beaten track to discover some real hidden gems. For example: Page & Moy is the only UK tour operator offering food and wine tours to Piedmont, home of the “Slow food movement” and one of the most gastronomically entertaining regions of Italy. The popular 8-day tour from £859 includes visits to small local producers, a hunt for the black and rare white truffles, plus amazing sampling sessions of local vintages, including Barolo.

Tour Representative
In the tour representative category, Page & Moy took fourth place. The company’s tour guides are renowned for being amongst the best in the business and have been specially handpicked for their in-depth knowledge of a region and understanding of their group’s expectations.

Value for Money
Page & Moy was ranked an impressive third in the value for money category, which reflects the on going commitment the company has to offering a range of top quality products which customers also agree offers exceptional value for money. A new introduction to the programme for 2008 is the 10-day all inclusive ‘Treasures of Spain & Portugal’ cruise for just £499 per person. The price includes return flights from London and Manchester airports, coach travel to and from the airport/port, all meals, selected beer, spirits, wine and soft drinks at the bar, selected drinks with lunch and dinner - including half a bottle of wine, daytime and evening entertainment, on-board gratuities and the services of Page & Moy Cruise Managers.
