England’s tourism “Oscars” unveiled

The best places to stay and visit in England were announced at a glittering ceremony in Liverpool last night.

Organised by VisitBritain and sponsored by The Caravan Club, The Enjoy England Awards for Excellence are the annual tourism ‘Oscars’ for English holidays and this year’s winners include a sixteenth century restaurant with rooms in Devon, Europe’s largest free airshow in Sunderland, an environmentally sustainable villa and restaurant in Norfolk and a children’s attraction and story centre in Buckinghamshire.
