Kayak.co.uk launches “Search By Segment”

To help travellers find the perfect itinerary at the best price, Kayak.co.uk has launched a “Search by Segment” tool which helps people create bespoke itineraries around any preferred departing or returning flight. Unlike other travel sites that only offer one search option, Kayak.co.uk is the first travel search site to allow users to search by their preferred method: by each individual trip segment or a return flight.

With Search by Segment, users can filter results by departure and arrival times and select the one which best fits their schedule. For example, well-wishers might look for flights that arrive in time for a wedding ceremony, or return flights that land with enough time to pick up the pet from the neighbours.

Those frequently travelling for business can use Search by Segment to more easily find flights that arrive in time for an important meeting and leave with enough time to get back home before the kids go to bed.

Search by Segment is exceptionally intuitive - users simply hover their mouse over the segment of choice and click. Kayak.co.uk then saves this choice to the top of the results page and instantly reorganises search results to display options that include the desired flight.
