Places to see - top three routes

Thretford Forest

The Brecks is a wonderful and distinctive landscape spanning the Norfolk and Suffolk countryside and has the UK’s largest lowland pine forest. For family cycling trips this provides the perfect place as all members of the family will be able to participate and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding them.

Cyclists are very welcome throughout The Brecks and there are many great trails to choose from. Thretford Forest offers four cycle routes of varying levels of ease. There is also a large play area and a maze for children to play in. The perfect ending to a fun days cycle.

Hilgay Bridle Route

For wonderful flat routes with no hilly surprises, head to The Fens. The Hilgay Bridle route has a mixture of tranquil views and calming landscapes. Start at Hilgay and watch the boats travel along the River Wissey before continuing through woodland glades and coastal roads. This scenic route will eventually lead back to Hilgay where you can relax in this charming village.

Hunstanton to Sheringham

If you are looking for a lovely trip along the coast then this is the route for you. Cycle along miles of shoreline and take in nature’s finest sights and wildlife. To take a break from cycling why not visit the stately home of Holkham Hall. It prides itself on being the jewel in Norfolk’s crown with shops and galleries and England’s finest beach.
