No limits for active holidaymakers

20th June 2008 Print
One of Germany’s many hidden gems and still to be discovered by the discerning British traveller, can now be explored in the best possible way. “Hiking unlimited” is a special offer of the Allgäu region in Southern Bavaria, giving visitors a chance to experience beautiful nature while going easy on the holiday budget.

As a joint programme of Oberstdorf and the neighbouring Kleinwalsertal, “Hiking unlimited” includes different types of accommodation and a pass for unlimited use of the region’s cable cars. Oberstdorf is Germany’s most Southern community and a climatic spa, which together with the Kleinwalsertal - an enclave in the Walser Valley between Austria and Germany and only accessible through Germany - offers 400 km of hiking trails on different altitudes. Visitors can engage in leisurely walks as well as demanding alpine tours or climbs.

The choice of accommodation includes four star hotels, family-friendly holiday homes or private guest houses. Three nights for two people, for instance, start from EUR 213 per person in a four star hotel. Seven nights for two people in a holiday home start from EUR 238. The offer is valid until 2 November 2008.
