Holiday Extras take on Eurostar in football derby

Two of the UK's leading travel companies kicked the new football season off in style as Holiday Extras took on Eurostar on Saturday, July 26. As part of Eurostar's Family Fun Day at the Great Chart football pitch in Ashford, the match saw two of Kent's largest travel employers take part in an exciting match before an activity-packed afternoon for local families including a barbecue.

An end-to-end match culminated in a 5-4 victory for Hythe-based company Holiday Extras, with goals from Paul Paddock and Russ McAathy ensuring a hard-earned victory over their local rivals.

Simon Cundy, captain of the victorious Holiday Extras team, said of the match: “The match was a great opportunity for us to play against local opposition, and to win made it an even sweeter experience.

“The game also provided great preparation for us as we are looking to sign up to one of the local leagues next year.”
