Travellers urged to remember airline luggage restrictions

Travellers urged to remember airline luggage restrictions As more and more travellers are escaping the UK during the school summer holidays, Holiday Extras are reminding passengers to take note of the Department of Transport baggage restrictions.

Current restrictions on liquids in hand luggage call for liquids, gels and aerosols to be carried in individual 100ml containers which can fit in a transparent, re-sealable bag not exceeding 20cm x 20cm.

In accordance with these regulations, Holiday Extras recommends that travellers remember to pack any necessary liquids - such as sun cream and toiletries - in with their hold luggage.

Furthermore, hand luggage restrictions limit air passengers to just one item of hand luggage with a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm.

Adherence of the luggage restrictions can provide travellers with a more stress free experience at the airport, removing any unnecessary hold-ups at check-in.
