Audi to increase prices from February 23rd

The majority of UK Audi range prices are to increase by an average of two per cent for orders placed on or after February 23rd, 2009 as a direct result of increased financial pressure exerted by the current, unprecedented Euro-to-Sterling exchange rate. Audi UK is aligning with earlier competitor movement in its segment in adjusting pricing to reflect current trading conditions, but has confirmed that all existing customer orders already signed will be price-protected and hence unaffected by this change.

Three Audi ranges and two key ‘S quattro’ and ‘RS quattro’ models are unaffected by the realignment; prices for all S4 Saloon and Avant, A5 Cabriolet, new Audi Q5, RS 6 and Audi Q7 models will remain unchanged. The price of the latest version of the R8 sports car, the new 5.2-litre FSI quattro, will also remain as recently announced.

In tandem with the increase, a number of the most popular models in the core Audi ranges will benefit from generous complimentary equipment upgrades, which will be available from today until April 31st, and subject to availability.

A3 TDIe Sport at no extra cost
Within the A3 range, the increasingly sought-after A3 1.9 TDIe three-door and five-door Sportback with 62.8mpg capability and 119g/km CO2 output is available from today with a complimentary upgrade to Sport specification, equivalent to £1,810 of added value. Additional features of the A3 1.9 TDIe Sport include 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, sports seats, dual-zone electronic climate control and a three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel.

A4 Executive SE Upgrade
Standard versions of the 143PS A4 2.0 TDI Saloon and Avant models, the most popular engine choice for A4 buyers, are also now available with an Executive SE upgrade at no extra charge. On top of existing SE model equipment, including three-zone climate control, a 10-speaker, 180 watt sound system and automatic headlight and wiper operation, the new Executive SE specification also adds an alloy wheel upgrade to a 17-inch 10-spoke design, an Audi Symphony audio system with six CD autochanger, cruise control and mobile phone preparation. This extensive list of extras would normally command a premium of £1,615.

Sport specification free for A5
The A5 Coupe range will also be enhanced, with the frugal 2.0-litre TDI model upgrading at no extra cost to Sport specification, a benefit normally available for £930 which adds striking 18-inch 10-spoke V-design alloy wheels, sports suspension and sports seats. It will also feature the mobile phone preparation package and cruise control, options normally offered at a combined cost of £550, taking the total value of enhancements to £1,480.

A6 SE upgrade
New fuel economy-focused 2.0-litre TDI 136PS versions of the A6 Saloon and Avant, now increasingly in demand for their impressively low 139g/km CO2 output and 53mpg-plus capability, also gain as a result of the price realignment. Standard versions upgrade to SE specification offering full Milano leather upholstery, mobile phone preparation and an auto-dimming rear view mirror at no extra cost, and also incorporate DVD satellite navigation, a colour Driver’s Information System and a CD changer, options which in combination would normally cost £2,640.
