29th August 2008 Print
Shakespeare Country will be show-cased as a premier tourist destination for groups at the Group Leisure Travel Trade Show. The show, which takes place on 24 & 25 September at the NEC, Birmingham, is now Britain's biggest event for the group travel, coach touring and travel trade sector.

Shakespeare Country will be offering information and advice to groups with their stand partners Warwick Castle, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Coventry Transport Museum and Mercure Shakespeare Hotel on stand 702.

The Group Leisure Travel Trade Show attracts thousands of visitors covering a diverse selection of group travel organisers and representatives from the travel trade. Visitors represent anything from major retailers, financial institutions to sports and social clubs, tour operators and guides, as well as special interest groups.

Shakespeare Country will be talking about their group information and dedicated booking service which provides a one stop shop dealing with accommodation reservations, theatre tickets and visits to attractions. Depending on the group’s requirements, the dedicated team can put together detailed itineraries, including prices and timings to help with planning.

Copies of the Shakespeare Country interactive Travel Trade CD will also be available from the stand. The CD holds text and images about Shakespeare Country’s accommodation, attractions, pubs, restaurants and much more and is available for group organisers to create their own documents, brochures and itineraries.

Sarah Hanson, Brands and Marketing Manager at Shakespeare Country said “We’re delighted to be show-casing Shakespeare Country to group travel organisers and giving them an insight into the area. Exhibiting at this show will be incredibly effective in raising awareness of what we have to offer and meeting contacts face to face. Representing Shakespeare Country at key shows such as these is essential for the continued growth of tourism in the travel trade market”.
