Discover Bordeaux with Tony & Guy

For six days in October, the region of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur Wines in partnership with Toni & Guy will bring a selection of fine Bordeaux wines to taste while clients are pampered by Toni & Guy stylists.

Sampling will take place in 159 salons throughout the UK on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th and 11th October. Clients will be offered a glass of wine and a mini-guide with tips on how best to appreciate the wine and how to combine it with food.

“Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur” is the world’s largest fine wine region, and produces red, white, rosé, clairet and sparkling crémant wine. It accounts for 55% of the entire Bordeaux wine region which is the largest French region of AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) wine production, representing approximately 800 million bottles of wine per year. The internationally reputed Bordeaux vineyard occupies land in 500 of the 543 towns and villages in Gironde.

Bordeaux, capital of Gironde, has recently been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It boasts an exceptional architectural heritage and elegant 18th century bourgeois buildings and alleys and streets lined with brassieres and wine bars. The Gironde is known for its Atlantic beaches, the picturesque charm of the Bay of Arcachon, the tang of fresh oysters and its châteaux. A countless number of forest tracks and an important network of cycle trails enable bikers and ramblers to discover the charms of the Gironde countryside.
