Rough Guide TV back for second series on Five

13th November 2008 Print
Rough Guide To… returns for a second series on Five on Monday 17th November at 7.30pm. The new fifteen-part part series, produced by Lion Television, will be presented by Julia Bradbury, the consumer-champion from BBC1’s Watchdog, and independent film-maker, photographer, DJ and journalist Toby Amies.

Fresh from the beaches of the successful first series of Rough Guide To…, broadcast earlier this year, Five’s intrepid presenters will continue to scour the globe exposing destinations that fail to live up to their hype and sharing discoveries of hidden gems around the world.

From tropical islands to weekend breaks the series will leave no stone unturned and no opinion unspoken. With the same entertaining and insightful Rough Guide view of the world, Rough Guide To… promises to liven up the UK’s living rooms this coming winter.

Five’s Commissioning Editor, Factual Entertainment and Features, Robi Dutta, said “Rough Guide To… has proved a hit with our viewers and it’s exciting to build on this success with a second series.”

Martin Dunford, one of the original founders of the Rough Guides, said: “We are delighted to be working with Five again. The Rough Guide thirst for genuine local knowledge, and witty and opinionated view of the world has made us the brand of choice for professionals and backpackers alike, and it’s great to be back for a second series.”
