Another award win for Shakespeare Country

The Shakespeare Country/CandiTV 24 hour Tourist Information service, provided by DataDriven Logistics has won another highly coveted industry award. The company has been awarded Medallists for Project Excellence and Flagship Innovation at the British Computer Society Industry Awards held on 4 December in London. The company saw off competition from a very strong shortlisted field including Virgin Atlantic to take the Medallist award.

DataDriven Logistics is no stranger to winning awards. CandiTV recently won the Innovation category at the Sentinel Business Awards and more recently the Best Innovative Product at the ICT Excellence Awards at the National Motorcycle Museum.

Almost 2 years in development and now the subject of international patents, CandiTV is a breakthrough technology that enables people with ordinary mobile telephones to use them just like TV remotes to take control and navigate content displayed on public facing screens when out of the home. The 24 hour TIC service was launched in Stratford-upon-Avon on 1 August and has been so successful that it is set to be launched in other towns within Shakespeare Country.

The BCS IT Industry Awards are the leading hallmark of success amongst practitioners today. The awards form a central element to the BCS’ professionalism in IT initiative and recognise, promote and acclaim excellence, professionalism, innovation and the outstanding achievements to which individuals and groups contribute.

Phil Hackett, Chief Executive of Shakespeare Country, stated “We’re extremely proud that DataDriven Logistics has won another award for our 24 hour Tourist Information Service. This innovative service has already proved to be immensely successful for Shakespeare Country and we’re delighted that CandiTV has yet again been rewarded for the recognition and achievement it deserves”.
