The Yorkshire Moors invite you to try something new
The Yorkshire Moors and Coast Tourism Partnership (YMCTP) challenge the nation to try one new thing as part of a drive to get people to make some spectacular New Year’s resolutions this year. The Yorkshire Moors and Coast has the biggest range of adventurous activities in Northern England which makes it an ideal location for people looking to kick start a new hobby or even just try something different.
“This is a time of year when people take stock of their lives and decide what they need to change. We have a huge range of adventurous activities on offer which would provide the perfect challenge for people looking to try something different.” says David Shields, Operations and Development Director of YMCTP.
“To make it easy for people to find out more we’ve created a special Try One New Thing section on our web site with information about the adventurous outdoor activities on offer and how to book them.”
Visitors can handle birds of prey. Try orienteering in woodland areas and allow themselves to be pulled around a purpose built circuit by a group of powerful huskies.
They can try more unusual forms of transport by saddling up and leading a horse over beach, moorland and forest or take control of a glider in the company of a professional instructor.
Visitors with nerves of steel can build a raft and sail it around Scarborough harbour or jump off a platform 160ft above the sea dressed as Dracula.
These challenges and more can be found in the Try One New Thing section of the Yorkshire Moors and Coast web site. Visit yorkshiremoorsandcoast.com/newthing for further information.
