Irish Ferries launches new guide
Irish Ferries has launched the 2009 version of its Car Ferry and Holiday Guide and is highlighting a lead-in fare of just £69 one way for car and driver.Said Declan Mescall, head of passenger sales: "2009 has started much like 2008 with more consumer complaints regarding airline baggage charges and hidden costs.
"For people fed up with the frustrations of dealing with budget airlines to Ireland, we are yet again emphasising that ferry travel is no longer the 'poor relation'.
"Our fares offer fantastic value for money, there are no hidden extra costs - our customers can take as much luggage as the car can hold - and the on-board experience on our luxury vessels makes the journey an enjoyable part of their holiday, not just something to be endured en route to something better.
"All the team at Irish Ferries - both in our reservations department and on board our ships - are dedicated to ensuring that the experience is one that they'll want to repeat and which adds to the overall enjoyment of their holiday."
Within the guide are sailing routes and times, together with details of on-board facilities and a selection of upgrades such as Club Class travel and en-suite cabins, plus a snapshot of the range of hotel and self-catering accommodation.
Irish Ferries operates four return sailings daily (two vessels) on the Holyhead/Dublin route and two return Pembroke/Rosslare crossings.
