Bauhaus is the place for space in Croydon

Bauhaus is the place for space in Croydon Space – or the lack of it – is always an issue for homebuyers. In a recent survey by Co-operative Bank which looked at people’s attitudes towards buying and selling in the current climate, respondents cited lack of room space to be the most popular reason for moving.

The survey which was based a poll of 3,000 adults across the UK also highlighted that over 50% had become more optimistic about the housing market.

While many developers are finally getting the message that space is the key to selling new homes, leading residential developer Durkan Estates has already set the pace with its spacious mews houses at Bauhaus in Croydon. Here purchasers can take advantage of just under 1,000sqft of living space from as little as £260,000.

With an open plan living/kitchen area, the mews homes offer plenty of space to relax and entertain guests as well as storage space, a utility area and downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, of which the master bedroom has an en-suite and balcony area. There is also an additional bathroom to serve the second bedroom, ideal for friends buying together or purchasers looking to rent out the second room.

Kathryn Price, Development Manager for Durkan Estates, comments: “Rooms should be sized according to their usage. Often it’s better to have a big combined kitchen and family room because that’s the place where everyone congregates. The mews homes at Bauhaus are testament to this having been expertly designed to offer flexible and spacious accommodation, not often associated with traditional mews houses."

The Mews Houses at Bauhaus are a series of two storey, two bedroom homes with ultra-stylish timber facades set within a landscaped communal courtyard, right in the heart of Croydon. The homes also come with secure gated entry and a parking space providing additional convenience within a central location.

Internally the Mews Houses are of a standard to match their high quality modern exterior, with Lemongrass kitchen units, built-in Portico wardrobes to the master bedroom, and luxury bathroom suites with heated towel rails and ceramic tiling.

The houses form part of a landmark new project by Durkan Estates. With its impressive glass elevation and enviable location, Bauhaus is emerging as a major destination residential building in the middle of Croydon’s soon to be regenerated central district. Located just off Croydon High Street and within easy reach of Croydon East train station, the development also includes an impressive collection of stylish one and two bedroom apartments and three bedroom penthouse suites.

Interested purchasers can visit the Bauhaus marketing suite and showhome open every day from 10am to 5pm. For further information visit bauhaus-croydon.com.
