Volvo C70 Coupe/Convertible to make UK debut at MPH show

The new C70 is a four-seater coupe and convertible, all in one. The advanced design and precision movement of its unique three-piece retractable hard top has been described as "a piece of theatre", so, appropriately, the Volvo C70 will be one of the hot new cars to star in the 75 minute live shows hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and Tiff Needell in the MPH theatre at the event. In addition, there will be another opportunity to see the new Volvo C70 on the Volvo stand just inside the entrance at both venues.
The live shows in the MPH Theatre combine a unique mix of the best of the latest new models with professional stunts and dramatic theatrical entertainment standards to bring the cars to life the way only the likes of Clarkson, Hammond and Needell know how. There is also an MPH Gallery area with a display of some of the latest and most prestigious cars, which will include a new Volvo S40 Sport with full body kit and a Volvo XC90.
The new Volvo C70 has already generated exceptionally high levels of enquiries and orders. It will be launched with powerful 170bhp 2.4-litre and 220bhp T5 five-cylinder petrol engines, and a 180bhp diesel to follow in mid-2006. Prices and specifications are expected to be released by mid-November, with cars arriving in showrooms from February and first customer deliveries in spring 2006.
