A Place In The Sun Live announces spring 2010 event

APITS Ltd has announced a date and venue for its spring 2010 A Place in the Sun Live event. Once again London’s Earls Court will host the UK’s only dedicated overseas property exhibition providing a premium, central London location for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The three day show will run from Friday 26th March to Sunday 28th March 2010 and aims to offer the largest range of overseas property available to buyers in the UK. Free-to-attend seminar programmes and main stage presentations from Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun presenters will ensure an audience of paying visitors gets insight into where, what and how to buy abroad.

A Place in the Sun Live 2009 at the same venue attracted more than 9,000 visitors over three days and gave the UK’s overseas property industry a much-needed shot in the arm at a difficult time. With 156 exhibitors representing property and services in 46 countries, the event was deemed a success by both visitors and exhibitors. Andrew Figel of Landmark Properties International says: “As a direct result of our attendance at the show in April we have closed three sales and have another three in progress.”

A Place in the Sun Live 2010 will again take place in Earls Court II alongside The Ideal Home Show in Earls Court I. “Last year we had over 3,000 people come into A Place in the Sun Live from the Ideal Home Show and they were high-quality visitors,” said APITS MD Andy Bridge. “Admittedly they may be in the early stages of planning to buy abroad but they are a valuable addition to our core visitor audience.”

Channel 4 will be supporting the 2010 event with a campaign to consumers across Channel 4 peak time, daytime, More4 and C4.com.

The new floor plan for A Place in the Sun Live at Earls Court in March 2010 will be launched at this week’s A Place in the Sun Live at the NEC Birmingham with the 100 plus exhibitors given first opportunity to reserve and book stands for spring 2010. “The economy appears to be over the worst and confidence is returning,” says Bridge. “This weekend gives our exhibitors a rare opportunity to meet a large, serious audience face-to-face and talk to them about overseas property.”
