Buyers urged to move now for best bargains

Buyers urged to move now for best bargains With the latest positive reports that mortgage approvals are 81 per cent higher* this month than in August, Taylor Wimpey North Thames is urging house hunters biding their time to get the best bargain to make their move now to avoid missing out.

The house builder, which has sold 421 homes this year, believes the combination of low interest rates, competitive house prices and a wider range of mortgages, makes now the perfect time to buy.

Tony Woodman, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “It’s no surprise that record low interest rates and more affordable property prices have been attracting savvy house hunters for a number of months now.

“However, the clear signs of sustained house price growth and news that high street banks are beginning to lend more freely – with price wars breaking out between two major players - is surely the clearest sign yet that the property market is getting back on track. Those who have put their moving plans on hold in the hope of prices falling even further should rethink their strategy to avoid missing out.”

Taylor Wimpey is currently building a number of developments across the region under its George Wimpey and Bryant Homes brands. The range of properties available includes two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at developments located as follows:

Bedfordshire
Heath Meadows, Leighton Buzzard

Buckinghamshire
Campbell Square, Milton Keynes

Essex
Foresthall Park, Stansted Mountfitchet
Harrow Lodge, Hornchurch

Greater London
Cromwell Place, Clerkenwell
The Colebrooke Collection, Islington
The Edge, Edgware
The Venue, Muswell Hill
Westrovia, Westminster
