Gladedale team runs for charity

The Gladedale North East England team was supported by cheering colleagues, friends and families throughout the 13.1 mile course which started in Newcastle and finished at the coast in South Shields, crossing the Tyne Bridge.
By completing the 29th Great North Run, Richard Jones and Ed Alder from Gladedale helped to raise vital funds for Kidney Research UK – the leading UK charity for funding research that focuses on kidney disease.
The chosen charity for Gladedale’s Marina Elstob and Dan Holyoak was the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, which leads the fight against muscle disease.
Richard Jones, Sales Director for Gladedale in North East of England, said: “The atmosphere was incredible – I believe there was a record of 54,000 participants – and this really helped to finish the race.
“The money raised will be of great help for the worthwhile charities which are close to the heart of each member in the Gladedale team. My mother-in-law suffers from kidney disease and I know that the funds will help improvements in treatment and awareness.”
