New scheme at Manor Park gets first time buyers moving

A Government scheme called HomeBuy Direct has been launched at Bryant’s Manor Park development in St Helen Auckland, to help first time buyers get on the property ladder with an interest free equity loan.

The HomeBuy Direct scheme is aimed at helping purchasers with a household income of less than £60,000 afford the home they want. An interest free equity loan is available for up to 30 percent of the value of the property, co-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency and Bryant Homes.

This means that a three bedroom semi detached property at Manor Park could be available for just £80,465.

It’s designed to overcome the hurdles of high mortgage costs and larger deposits, which we know are preventing many people from buying. The two homes available on the scheme are both three bedroom semi-detached Worlestons. The ground floor of the Worleston has a kitchen and lounge with dining area, along with a cloakroom. The first floor has the family bathroom and three bedrooms, with the master benefitting from en-suite facilities. The Worleston also has an allocated parking space and a private garden.
