Volvo XC90: Sport and Executive models now available

SE Sport
The Volvo XC90 SE Sport, with sports chassis and firmer shock absorbers, thicker anti-roll bars and sports tuned speed dependent steering, which was first seen at the British International Motor Show in July, has now started production. As well as providing a more dynamic driving experience than the standard Volvo XC90 it also looks sportier with distinctive 19in five-spoke alloy wheels, silver matt exterior trim and twin exhaust pipes, while inside the driver also enjoys chronograph instrument dials, a chunkier sports steering wheel, unique black leather upholstery with white inlays and Sports front seats with additional lateral support.
All three engines from the Volvo XC90 range are available: the 2.4-litre D5 (185PS) turbodiesel with 400Nm of torque available from 2,000rpm providing 0-60mph in 10.3 seconds, or two new high-performance petrol engines – an in-line, 3.2-litre, six cylinder offering 238PS, 320Nm of torque from 3,200rpm and 0-60mph in 8.9 seconds, plus the 4.4-litre V8 with 315PS, 440Nm of torque making 0-60mph possible in 6.9 seconds. Both petrol engines have Volvo’s six-speed Geartronic transmission fitted as standard.
The SE Sport joins the Volvo XC90 range between the SE and SE Lux models, with on the road prices of £37,270 for the D5, £38,278 for the 3.2 and £45,950 for the V8.
Executive
The top of the range Volvo XC90 Executive is also now available and distinguished by unique 19in alloy wheels, matt chrome door mirrors and C-pillar, active Bi-Xenon headlights and extended front skidplate.
The interior offers the ultimate in luxury with extra cushioning for the exclusive Executive soft leather upholstery and door armrests, plus a fridge in the front centre armrest, walnut wood trim for the centre console, door panels and gear knob, plus an integrated hands-free phone system, satellite navigation and Volvo’s Dynaudio Premium Sound audio system, 5 x 130W amplifier, aux input, Dolby Pro Logic II Surround Sound and 12 speakers.
The D5, 3.2 and V8 engines are all available for the Executive trim level, with on the road prices of £46,330 (D5), £46,068 (3.2) and £53,965 (V8).
