Volvo celebrates 80th anniversary with Volvo Marque Day

This year Lynn Bowles, BBC Radio 2 broadcaster, will be providing commentary throughout the day, while visitors will enjoy live music by Abba Arrival and special vehicle displays including a Volvo 120 series cavalcade organised by the Volvo Owners Club in celebration of the model’s 50th Anniversary. Children will be kept entertained with a climbing wall and bouncy castle, plus an area will be available for them to play with remote control cars and to purchase model vehicles which they can decorate themselves.
Thanks to the outstanding facilities on offer at the Heritage Motor Centre party goers will have the chance to take the XC90 through a specially designed all-wheel drive course as well as the opportunity to experience a selection of Volvo’s current models around the circuit. Guests can also take advantage of free access to the newly refurbished Heritage Motor Centre Museum.
The event will run from 10am through until 5pm and entry is free for all Volvo drivers and children under five and they can just turn up on the day. Non-Volvo drivers and guests can pick up discounted advanced tickets from £8 for adults, £6 for under 16 year olds and £7 for concessions. £2 will be added to each of these prices for tickets purchased on the day.
