Volvo C30 – introducing sporty R-Design as standard

The R-DESIGN exterior incorporates an exclusive sports bodykit, rear spoiler, R-DESIGN logo on the grille and alloy wheels. Inside, the unique interior is upholstered in off-black T-Tec fabric with contrasting cream leather embossed with the R-DESIGN logo and is complemented by eye-catching blue instrument dials, a leather sports steering wheel, aluminium ridged sports pedals and gear knob with aluminium inserts.
The C30 R-DESIGN Sport has the performance and flexibility to match its head-turning styling, with a choice of four petrol engines from the 1.6 to the range topping 230PS T5, three diesels (the frugal 1.6D, 2.0D and D5) and an eco friendly 1.8 FlexiFuel bio-ethanol model.
Introducing the R-DESIGN styling as the entry level model has been positively received by residual value experts and gives Volvo’s SportsCoupe a favourable position against key rivals.
CAP Monitor forecasts that after three years/36,000 miles, trade values for the R-DESIGN Sport diesel models will be between 46-55% of their original list prices, with the petrol variants retaining a strong 47-56%.
The Volvo C30 is known for its unique design with a muscular frame, iconic rear tailgate, four individual seats and floating centre console with a class leading audio system. Now the popular R-DESIGN styling gives the car an aesthetic adrenalin kick. However, for less sport and more luxury, customers can choose the refined SE specification for the same price as the R-DESIGN Sport. Similarly, customers wanting a no-compromise mixture of the two can opt for R-DESIGN SE Sport, starting at £17,245 for the 1.8 petrol model.
The most luxurious version of the Volvo C30, the SE LUX, starts at £17,495 for the 1.8 engine. The SE LUX trim offers leather upholstery, heated front seats, power folding door mirrors with ground lights, a headlamp cleaning system and 17” polished alloy wheels.
