Miller Homes have announced some of the last HomeBuy Direct deals at its Whittle-le-Park development in Buckshaw Village, Chorley. With this innovative, Government backed scheme ending soon and both Stamp Duty and VAT returning to pre-credit crunch rates on January 1st, now is the time to cash on the great offers.

Available on a limited number of selected properties at Whittle-le-Park, HomeBuy Direct scheme allows buyers that qualify the chance to own a new home and pay a minimum of 70% of the purchase price now.

The remaining amount is funded equally by Miller Homes and the Government with an equity loan. One further bonus of the scheme is that the equity loan is only repayable after 25 years, and there is no interest payable for the first five years.

To qualify, you must have a household income of less than £60,000. Aimed to help first time buyers, key workers, people buying a home after a relationship breakdown and families living in overcrowded rented accommodation, the scheme is proving to be a lifeline for those struggling in the current mortgage market.

Miller Homes are currently offering HomeBuy Direct on two of the superb homes at Whittle-le-Park. The Darwin Special a 4 bed luxury home that normally sells outside the scheme for £269,950. With the scheme, a mortgage of just £188,965 is required now, with the balance funded by the HomeBuy Direct equity loan. This home features a stunning master bedroom suite with a generous dressing room and en-suite bathroom.  The great living space offered by the 3-storey, four-bedroom home includes a beautiful conservatory, overlooking the rear garden.

The double fronted, detached Buchan home offers 4 generous bedrooms in its traditional design.  The property features a separate dining room, study and a utility room, making this a practical as well as elegant family home.  The Buchan is normally offered outside the HomeBuy Direct scheme for £249,950, if a 30% Home Buy Direct loan is applied the price now is just £174,965.

“These are the last homes that will be available on the HomeBuy Direct scheme at Whittle-le-Park,” says Kay Halls, Sales Manager.

“Buyers need to act very quickly as we are only weeks away from the end of HomeBuy Direct funding.”
