Cycle your way through Jersey, Spain or the Czech Republic

27th November 2009 Print

The 2010 Cycling Holidays brochure with HF Holidays features the new destinations of Jersey, Spain and the Czech Republic as well as additional itineraries in Italy and Croatia.

The holidays combine leisurely cycling – distances covered range from 10 to 38 miles per day, dependent on tour chosen – with plenty of sightseeing opportunities and many are suitable for families.

The new four-night self-guided Jersey break, for example, is graded easy and follows routes along the island’s network of quiet country lanes with highlights such as the Jersey war tunnels, Neolithic burial cambers or the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Available between March and September, the cost is from £295 inclusive of four nights’ half-board accommodation – with a free bottle of house wine – at the three-star Merton Hotel in St Saviour, three days’ cycle hire and route notes.

Turning to the Czech Republic, the new seven-night self-guided Prague to Dresden holiday follows the course of the Elbe – using country lanes and purpose built cycle paths – through the Czech and German countryside taking in Gothic fortifications, Terezin (site of the Jewish ghetto), Strekov Castle and the spa town of Bad Schandau.

Available between April and October, the cost is £599 inclusive of seven nights’ accommodation with breakfast in three and four-star hotels, cycle hire, luggage transfers and route descriptions and maps.

All prices are per person, twin-share.  Return UK flights and transfers extra.
