Virgin Atlantic has unveiled a new Clubhouse at Gatwick featuring a luxurious Cowshed Spa.  The new Clubhouse has re-opened after a complete refurbishment. It’s over 795 square metres in total, with seating for 130 passengers and offers a choice of areas to cater for different needs.

The Cowshed Spa and Internal Rock Garden provide a new focal point for the Clubhouse. With porcelain slates, natural stone mosaic floors and black glass mosaic tiled walls, passengers will feel as though they’ve entered a haven of tranquillity and luxury. A new internal rock garden, flooded with natural daylight and lined with vintage Cole & Son naturally themed wallpaper, provides an oasis of calm for travellers. Cowshed also offers a variety of treatments to passengers- gentle massages, luxurious manicures and pedicures - all use Cowshed’s 100% natural products.

The lounge has been created by London based architectural practice FDArchitecture in collaboration with the Virgin Atlantic in-house design team.

The new Clubhouse also continues to support Virgin Atlantic’s sustainability targets. The Clubhouse uses generous expanses of FSC timber flooring, winding through the magnificent facilities on offer to passengers. 100% woollen carpets are specified with low chemical emissions and a site waste management programme reduces construction waste on site by some 40% through considered prefabrication of much of the furniture, fixtures and fittings.
