As it took delivery of 10 Skoda Octavia Estates this week to replace existing fleet stock, Essex-based technical support solutions company Uniter Group cited professional, reliable and economical attributes as reasons for choosing Skoda’s best-selling fleet model.

Skoda retailer Darlington’s of Harrow supplied the vehicles while Volkswagen Group Leasing handled the financing for the contract hire package.

Commenting on the deal, Peter Buttress, Financial Director at Uniter Group, cited the professional service from the Skoda Fleet Sales team.  He continued: “Our national fleet of engineers spend a great deal of time travelling from contract to contract, so they need company cars that are reliable, extremely comfortable and fuel-efficient.

“Because we continually strive to reduce our carbon footprint, we need vehicles with low CO2 emissions. Load carrying capacity and running costs are also major factors of importance and the Octavia meets all these requirements, making it the best all-round performer.”

Rob Morris, Fleet Sales Manager for Skoda in London and the South East, said: “By selecting a fleet of Skoda Octavias, Uniter Group chose one of the most economical and spacious family cars on the market.

“We are finding, as companies re-evaluate their outgoings, that the Octavia is an increasingly popular choice for fleet hire. In fact, it is our largest seller in the fleet market.”

Named Best Small Family Car in the 2009 JD Power Survey of Customer Satisfaction, the stylish Octavia combines bold design with generous equipment levels, impressive fuel-efficiency and outstanding value for money, starting at just £11,995.
