Community pioneers in Nantwich

After years of careful planning, McCarthy & Stone’s Beatty Court retirement development in Nantwich has welcomed its first residents.
Ina Braden and Joan Collins picked up the keys to their stylish new retirement apartments and are now settling in to their new life as pioneers of this exciting new community.
Ina, 74, was the first resident to move in to Beatty Court and said: “I love living here and am so glad I made the move, as life is much easier now. I have a beautiful new apartment, which I don’t have to maintain, the support of the wonderful house manager if needed and my family are nearby too. It’s also rather exciting being a community pioneer and I am really looking forward to welcoming my neighbours as they move in.”
Ina used McCarthy & Stone’s ‘Move for Free’ offer to move to Beatty Court after struggling to sell her semi-detached bungalow in Crewe.
She said: “The funny thing is I moved into my bungalow when I retired as I thought I’d be able to live there forever. I chose the property because I love gardening, but unfortunately the maintenance of the garden became too much as I got older. When I saw an advert for Beatty Court I decided to find out more as it was in the perfect location, close to my son. I knew I’d found my ideal home and reserved off-plan, but then couldn’t sell my bungalow. I had lots of interest from downsizers – in the end around 40 viewings – but no one wanted to buy it.
“I was on the verge of staying there as I couldn’t see how I was going to move, until McCarthy & Stone stepped in with their fantastic scheme. I am so grateful to Andrea, the sales consultant, for all her help.”
Joan Collins, 75, added: “Like Ina I really appreciated the help offered by McCarthy & Stone when I moved as I had collected so many things over the years. Thanks to the House to Home team, my husband Brian and daughter Rachel, I had moved out of my old house and into my new apartment at Beatty Court in just a few days. Everything was so quick and the team were very efficient and helpful. It will be lovely to see the community grow as more residents join us.”
Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, said: “Welcoming Ina and Joan to Beatty Court is an important landmark for the development and we look forward to many more residents joining them over the coming months.
“We believe that with the right advice and support, now is a great time to buy and our latest range of special incentives, such as ‘Move for Free’, is aimed at giving homebuyers that extra helping hand. Properties at the right price, like those at Beatty Court, are attracting a lot of attention from buyers so I’d encourage prospective purchasers to come and see us soon to avoid disappointment.”
Beatty Court is a development of 62 one and two bedroom retirement apartments with prices starting from £144,950. Located at the top of Red Lion Lane and just 400 yards from the main shopping area in Nantwich, residents will find plenty of amenities within easy reach. For a slower pace of life away from the hustle and bustle of Nantwich centre, is the beauty of the surrounding Cheshire countryside.
