Top tips for unlocking techno jargon this Christmas

Are you stuck with buying a new laptop for your nearest and dearest this Christmas? You’re not alone. Two and a half million of us are planning to buy a computer this year as a present. But do we really know what we’re looking for or what to do when we get it?

Whether it’s the type of processor that brings you out in a cold sweat, you have no idea what size hard drive you need, or still think the term ‘RAM’ refers to a male sheep, 90% of Brits admit to being confused by hardware and software terminology.

To help people chose the right computer for Christmas, and get it working by Boxing Day, the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) has launched a new video to coincide with their recruitment campaign for more ICT teachers.
