With the New Year traditionally being a time to make resolutions and implement changes, now could be a great opportunity to start afresh in a brand new home in Colchester.

Award-winning Redrow is currently offering a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes at The Myle, situated in the historic town of Colchester.

What’s more, eligible buyers could snap one of the properties up by laying out just 70% of their initial asking price, thanks to a Government-backed help scheme.

Jointly funded by Redrow and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), HomeBuy Direct offers an equity loan for up to 30% of the purchase price, which is interest-free for the first five years.

It means a three-bedroom Malham could be purchased for just £142,765 and a four-bedroom Ouse for only £185,465.

With their contemporary interiors and affordable prices, deciding to call one these dwellings home should be one New Year resolution that’s easy to keep.

Suzanne Irons, sales director for Redrow Homes (Eastern) said: “Buyers can make a proactive start to the New Year and move into the brand new home they have always wanted at The Myle.

“Properties such as the Ouse and Malham make great homes for all kinds of buyers, including young families needing a little more space. And, unlike second hand properties, they require no costly renovations or repairs so purchasers can enjoy their new home fully from the day they move in.

“What’s more, HomeBuy Direct is now making this even more achievable with buyers only having to initially fork out up to 70% of the purchase price until a time when more funds are available. Now really is a good time to make that move.”

HomeBuy Direct was targeted initially at first time buyers and those re-entering the property market after a relationship break-up. However, families who can demonstrate a need for extra space may also be eligible, provided total annual household income is less than £60,000.

The Ouse is a generously proportioned four-bedroom house with en-suite to master bedroom and a utility room off the fully fitted kitchen. The Malham townhouse also has an en-suite to master bedroom.

The Myle is within easy reach of Colchester town centre and also has convenient access to the A12, while rail links from Colchester North Station offer journey times to Ipswich of less than 20 minutes and to London Liverpool Street in about an hour.
