Affordable camping in Europe

Camping and mobile home operator, Venue Holidays, has launched its 2010 brochure highlighting affordable family holidays at 21 campsites in France, Italy and Spain and offering a wealth of early booking offers and special deals.

Offers include – for bookings made by 29 January – savings of 10 per cent throughout the season at selected campsites which means, for example, a seven-night holiday leads in at just £117.

This price, the total for a family of two adults and up to four children, applies to arrivals between 22 and 26 May and includes return midweek Dover/Calais saver ferry crossing for car and passengers and accommodation in a fully-equipped tent at Raguenes in Brittany.  The same break, but taken in peak season, increases to £541 per family.

Facilities at the campsite, a 15-minute stroll from a secluded beach, include heated swimming pools - one with slide and water chute – football, tennis, skate park, six-hole golf and gym.

The ‘Riviera’ also makes its debut in 2010, a new top-of-the-range two or three-bedroom mobile home complete with air-conditioning and French doors leading onto decking.

A seven-night holiday in a three-bedroom ‘Riviera’ mobile home at Camping Village Le Brasillia at Canet Plage in Roussillon, for instance, leads in at £234 for two adults and up to four children for arrivals between 24 and 30 April, increasing to £1294 in peak season.  This includes return midweek Dover/Calais saver ferry crossing for car and passengers.

Facilities at the campsite include a new state-of-the-art swimming pool complex – with pools, adult slides, children’s activity areas, whirlpool and hydro-massage – along river and sea fishing, cycle hire, archery and boules.
