Affordable safari and beach holidays in Tanzania

Somak Holidays has launched a new range of safaris and beach holidays in Tanzania for 2010.

In a bid to broaden the country’s appeal, Somak have created two new safaris, both costing less than £1,600 per person, and they offer a new selection of all inclusive or full board hotels in Zanzibar. All are included in a new brochure: ‘Highlights of Kenya and Tanzania 2010’.

8th Wonder Safari

The four star ‘8th Wonder’ Safari is from just £1,419 per person with daily departures all year. It includes Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Accommodation is at three fine safari lodges. Each has their own unique views including Lake Manyara, waterholes and the Ngorongoro Crater. 

The safari begins in Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its climbing lions.

The tour then takes in the Serengeti where game drives will reveal some of the best highlights this world famous reserve has to offer. There is the option to experience an early morning balloon flight before continuing onto Ngorongoro Crater, the last stop which includes game viewing and a visit to a local Masai Village.

The price includes return scheduled flights, transfers, and 5 nights’ accommodation with 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 5 dinners.

Glimpses of Tanzania Safari

The three star ‘Glimpses of Tanzania’ Safari is from just £1,559 per person, with departures every Monday all year. It includes Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

It offers the experience of unique permanent tented camps; mobile camping and lodges, all are surrounded by natural beauty with an abundance of wildlife and spectacular local tribes. 

The first stay is at Tarangire National Park with an afternoon and evening game drives.  The world famous Serengeti is the next stop with game drives and the optional extra of an early morning balloon flight. The final overnight stay is the Ngoronogoro Farm House where there is some time to relax before a visit to the crater and visit to local Masai village. 

The price includes includes return scheduled flights, transfers, 6 nights’ accommodation with 6 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 6 dinners.

Zanzibar

In Zanzibar, Somak suggest four hotels which offer particularly good value, from their larger selection. A week at the four star Bluebay Beach Resort is just £1,009 per person including return scheduled flights, transfers and 7 nights’ accommodation on full board.
