Have a whale of a time at Sea Life London Aquarium

The Sea Life London Aquarium is celebrating all things “whale” this February half term and inviting visitors to come down and get involved in a host of themed activities.
There will be plenty of fishy fun from games and quizzes to special film screenings, talks and some surprises too! Supported by the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS), Whale Week is all about raising awareness of the devastating consequences of illegal whaling – but with the emphasis firmly on family friendly entertainment!
Plus there’s a whole ocean full of fun to discover with thousands of marine creatures from every part of the world. The spectacular Ocean Reef Display is home to the world’s biggest collection of Cownose Rays swimming in perfect synchrony through an awesome 25 metre long Whale skeleton.
Families can learn all about sharks, rays, seahorses and turtles at daily talks and feeding sessions. And there’s plenty of interactive features to get the kids involved; from joining the Eco Pirates on the Good Ship SOS to joining the ‘Factfinder Trail’ around the attraction to win a prize. There’s also a magical underwater glass tunnel and – for those brave enough - a nerve testing shark walk finale.
Kids will be enthralled, entertained and educated all at the same time – a whaley winning combination for a great half term family day out.
Situated on the banks of the River Thames in County Hall, the SEA LIFE London Aquarium is open 7 days a week with tickets at £17.50 for adults, £12.50 for children with family tickets and special behind the scenes packages also available. Check sealife.co.uk/london for full details.
