Chester Site Manager celebrates award success
Retirement specialist McCarthy & Stone is celebrating after Steve Skelton, Site Manager at its Forest Court development in Chester, scooped a prestigious housing award.
Steve has won a Built in Quality Award 2010 from Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council for the Union Street development in the best housing/residential category. The accolade recognises his commitment to managing his site to an exceptional standard.
The award also demonstrates McCarthy & Stone’s commitment to building top quality developments for retired people and its continued dedication to retaining and exceeding buyers’ expectations.
Steve joined McCarthy & Stone 15 years ago as a Finishing Manager, before progressing up the management ranks to Senior Site Manager 12 years ago.
Steve said: “This is a testament to the continued hard work and dedication of the whole team at Forest Court – without them the award would not have been possible. Being presented with such a prestigious award is a great honour but it’s definitely a team-working spirit that was the essential ingredient for success. We take genuine pride in the apartments that we build so it is always satisfying to be recognised and rewarded by those within the industry.”

The Built in Quality awards are presented following stringent judging by building control inspectors, who perform monthly checks on developments throughout the year. They also provide homebuyers with the assurance that the development provides top quality homes and excellent customer care.
