In Spain, Easter week - known as ‘Semana Santa’ - is the country’s most important annual celebration, with almost every town and city hosting Easter celebrations, including some with huge processions stretching for miles.

The Easter holidays (2 – 16 April) are also a great opportunity for those with school age children to escape to sunnier climates and have some fun in the sun.

So, this year, why not treat yourself and your family to some springtime sunshine while experiencing the cultural celebrations in Spain, with seven night Eurocamp breaks costing from just £283 for the whole family.

Eurocamp’s Internacional De Calonge parc on the Costa Brava, just 42km from Gerona – where the famous Easter Friday Procession (Friday 2 April) starts at 10pm in the cathedral square – is one of a selection of Spanish Eurocamp parcs open during the Easter holidays.

The relaxed and friendly parc is situated on a picturesque hillside, offering fine views of the Mediterranean. It has everything you could need for a great family holiday, including three excellent swimming pools, bicycle hire, football, kayaking and table tennis.

Alternatively, holidaymakers can choose to spend days enjoying the sun at the nearby beach, which has direct access to the parc, and spend evenings in the nearby lively and fashionable resort of Playa d’Aro.

A seven night stay at Eurocamp’s Internacional De Calonge parc on the Costa Brava, Spain, arriving 2 April 2010, staying in a 2 bedroom ‘Comfort’ mobile home (sleeps up to seven) with air conditioning, now costs just £283, accommodation only.

Ferry crossings, fly drive packages, rail travel and overnight stops – at hotels or parcs en route - can also be arranged through Eurocamp at a supplement.
