Final chance to buy at St Richards Park

Buyers should delay no further in considering a new home at David Wilson Homes’ St Richards Park in Chichester where less than 10 per cent of homes are left.
“We can offer a two bedroom coach house with an asking price of £200,000, made available for as little as £140,000 through the government’s HomeBuy Direct scheme,” reports Mark Docherty, David Wilson Homes’ sales director.
“The scheme provides eligible buyers with an equity loan of up to 30 per cent, jointly funded by David Wilson Homes and the government’s Homes and Communities Agency.
“It’s a great incentive for people who think they are currently priced out of the property market,” he added. “However, I would urge buyers to act quickly, as we have already sold 85 of the 94 homes at this development.”
The two-bedroom coach house, in the Alford design, comes with an en-suite to the master bedroom and a garage.
“HomeBuy Direct is open to first-time buyers, key workers and others who are currently renting,” Mark continued. “People who have previously owned a home but are now unable to do so – perhaps where relationships have broken down – can also apply.
“Eligible households will have an income of up to £60,000 and would not normally be able to afford to buy a suitable property on the open market.”
Buyers must have at least five per cent of the 70 per cent to use as a deposit. They can redeem the loan in instalments, purchasing up to 100 per cent of the equity after their initial purchase by buying additional equity at the market rate. Alternatively, if they sell their home, the equity loan is repaid by way of a proportionate share of the sale proceeds.
St Richards Park is located in the city of Chichester, a cultural centre for the arts and home to the world-renowned Festival Theatre. The famous pedestrian centre around Market Cross boasts a variety of street entertainers and buskers and it is overlooked by the impressive cathedral.
Chichester Harbour is a regular haunt for yachting enthusiasts and the A259 and A27 offer easy access to the seaside towns of Bognor Regis and Brighton and the maritime city of Portsmouth.
