Ryanair today announced that it will open a new route from London Stansted to Spain’s Ciudad Real Airport.

This three times weekly service will commence 24 May 2010 with fares from £19.99 one way inclusive of taxes and charges for booking from tomorrow on ryanair.com.

Ciudad Real Airport is situated in the centre of Spain, in the south of  the Castilla-La Mancha region, 50 minutes south of Madrid, 50 minutes north of Cordoba and less than 2 hours from Malaga and Seville.

To celebrate this new route, Ryanair has released one million £5 seats for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in April and May (excluding Easter week).  These £5 “all in” fares will be available on over 500 of Ryanair’s European routes but must be booked on ryanair.com before midnight (24:00hrs) Thursday (11 March).

“Only Ryanair sells Europe’s lowest fares with a no fuel surcharge guarantee. In addition to our lowest fares we also deliver the No1 on-time performance across over 1,000 routes.  From midnight passengers can book our one million £5 seats for travel on over 500 European destinations in April and May.  These seats can only be booked until midnight this Thursday (11 March) and are sure to be snapped up fast so we urge passengers to book them on ryanair.com before they sell out”.
