Crest Nicholson reports surge in sales at Park Central

Crest Nicholson has announced a surge in sales at its award winning Park Central development in Birmingham city centre resulting in the sell out of its Glade phase of parkside apartments, as homebuyers continue to give the exclusive range of contemporary new homes their vote of confidence.
In addition to sales figures at the popular development beating city-wide averages, visitor levels to the Park Central marketing suite have risen sharply compared to figures from the same period last year, signalling a strong end to the winter sales season. Jo Parker, sales manager at Park Central explained the reasons behind its recent success.
Jo said: “The sell out of the Glade phase at Park Central indicates that there is demand for competitively priced new apartments in Birmingham city centre. One bedroom apartments have formed the bulk of our sales over the previous months and this evidence suggests that first time buyers are active in the marketplace – a hugely positive sign.
“The recent upsurge in footfall and sales at Park Central follows the successful launch of a new website for the development. An increasing number of visitors are finding us online at both parkcentral.co.uk and the Crest Nicholson websites, as well as established property search engines. In the past weeks we’ve consistently seen over half of our enquiries coming from the web, indicating a behavioural change in the way that people access property information. Our investment in online has therefore been a factor in to our recent success.
“A recent open evening aimed at assisting and informing first time buyers also proved popular, with a range of prospective purchasers coming along to access the free independent financial advice on offer and to find out more about Park Central. These events, in conjunction with the availability of Government-backed assistance schemes such as HomeBuy Direct, are all part of our commitment to helping buyers get on and get up the property ladder at Park Central. With Glade now sold out, we remain focused on taking positive steps towards assisting buyers, and visitors to the development can still choose from a collection of apartments in the Hudson phase, many of which are available with HomeBuy Direct.”
Eligible purchasers with a household income of less than £60,000 can take advantage of HomeBuy Direct at Park Central. The initiative reduces the mortgage amount needed by buyers to secure their first home, with the government and Crest Nicholson covering up to 15 per cent each or 30 per cent in total of the property price with a loan. This then leaves the buyer with a more affordable mortgage for the remaining 70 per cent.
Crest Nicholson has a selection of contemporary one bedroom apartments currently available at Park Central priced from £90,000, or just £63,000 using HomeBuy Direct. Two bedroom apartments are available from £146,500 or £102,550 with HomeBuy Direct.
A range of purchasers from investors to first time buyers, young professionals, and parental landlords are voting with their feet and opting to purchase at Park Central. Alongside the hundreds of first time buyers who have been helped onto the property ladder at Park Central, signs point to a return to the city centre market of investors. Jo added:
“Park Central ticks all the boxes for a wide range of occupiers, from students looking for a quick way into university from Five Ways station to young professionals wanting to save on transport costs by walking into the city. We receive regular feedback from occupiers telling us that the city centre location coupled with the peaceful environment make Park Central their development of choice. This winning combination makes Park Central popular with investors and owner occupiers alike all looking to enjoy the benefits of the city centre.”
Bordered by Bath Row and Lee Bank Middleway, Park Central offers buyers the very best in city living, located only minutes away from The Mailbox and with eight acres of public parkland at the heart of the scheme giving homeowners the chance to escape the hustle of the city centre and seek refuge in a peaceful, green environment.
Park Central is the result of an innovative partnership between Crest Nicholson and joint landowners Birmingham City Council and Optima Community Association.
The Park Central marketing suite is open daily from 10am to 5pm and is located at Park Central, 2 Mason Way, Birmingham B15 2EY.
