Spectacular hotels on three continents

In line with its goal to add 100 new affiliate hotels in 2010, WorldHotels, the leading group for independent properties, has welcomed 19 new hotels with 9,000 rooms since January.

Among the new additions are revered hotels in global key destinations such as the Royal Garden Hotel in London’s Kensington and Star City Hotel & Apartments in Sydney’s famous Darling Harbour precinct. Other spectacular new properties are two hotels of the newly-built CityCenter in Las Vegas, the all-suite hotel Vdara and the Aria Resort & Casino, the main attraction of the complex.

CityCenter Las Vegas is the largest privately-funded construction project in the history of the United States. Its biggest hotel, the Aria Resort & Casino joined the WorldHotels portfolio in February. Boasting over 4.000 guestrooms, including 568 suites offering spectacular city or mountain views, the Aria combines lavish accommodations with contemporary design by famed architect Cesar Pelli.  The stunning facilities include an exhilarating casino floor; 300.000 square feet of meeting and pre-function space; three pools; 16 restaurants; ten bars and lounges; and an 80.000-square-foot, two-level spa and salon.

Vdara Hotel & Spa is an all-suite boutique hotel with a sophisticated international flair offering an exclusive non-gaming, smoke-free environment with 1.500 condo-hotel units. Directly connected to Bellagio and adjacent to Aria Resort & Casino, it offers contemporary interior spaces with modern amenities and services, a rooftop pool and lounge, wellness spa and the vibrant destination restaurant Silk Road.

The Royal Garden Hotel overlooking Kensington Gardens offers 5-star luxury and service. 396 stylish rooms, a hotel spa, two award-winning restaurants, 10 meeting rooms and an events venue make it one of the best value 5-star hotels in London. Another key feature is the hotel’s health centre, equipped with a cardio-vascular gym, five treatments rooms, sauna and personal trainers. Currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar redesign, the hotel has already completed several major changes, such as the new lobby and the critically acclaimed restaurant Min Jiang and will see further modernisation to be completed by April 2010.

The luxurious Star City Hotel & Apartments, on Sydney Harbour, is the only casino in New South Wales, incorporating a 480-room hotel, 2,000-seat theatre, 11 restaurants and bars. The giant complex, about the size of seven football fields, is a key part of the city’s vibrant Darling Harbour precinct. It incorporates luxury 5-star serviced apartments of varying sizes featuring balconies with spectacular harbour views. Three more hotels owned by Tabcorp joined WorldHotels in 2010: Jupiters Hotel & Casino - Gold Coast, Treasury Hotel & Casino - Brisbane and Jupiters Townsville Hotel Casino.

“We are proud to be recognised for our ability to deliver business growth for independent hotels and added value for our clients, which is especially crucial in challenging times like these”, commented Robert Hornman, Managing Director of WorldHotels. “After a successful year of portfolio growth, we are pleased to already have been able to integrate 19 hotels on four continents in 2010.”
