Games and gadgets galore to entertain this Easter
Discounted group tickets for Wednesday 7th April have gone on sale for a new ‘Family Day’ during the Easter break at the highly popular Gadget Show Live (tickets for the original run from 8th to 11th April are sold out).
This family day out offers interactive entertainment with fewer crowds for people who love their gizmos, but need more space to push buggies and allow youngsters to explore with their peers. A family ticket for a family of four costs £47.80 (if all are over 12 years) or £33.80 (if two children are under 12) - both save £4. Doors open at 1pm at Birmingham’s NEC.
Visitors to The Gadget Show Live will be the first to see new product releases from the world’s leading consumer technology companies. They will be able to see, try and buy new 3D TVs, robotic lawnmowers, brain controlled games and watch-phones, plus much more from companies including Sony, Panasonic, LG, Sanyo, PC World, Mattel and Nintendo.
Furthermore, the show offers incredible interactive features for all the family including the NEW Future Tech Zone which brings you closer to tomorrow’s technology. Visitors can have a go at brain controlled gaming, augmented reality, a flight simulator, as well as interact with a robotic flying penguin and check out a flying car.
Kids are likely to head straight for the Game Zone to test out the latest consoles and games and watch the world’s leading players, as well try out the new Electric Bikes, Segways and EasyGliders at the Test Track. Parents, meanwhile, might be more inclined to gain some practical tips from the UK’s leading camera manufacturers in the Photographic Theatre and take a look at new outdoor gadgets in the Outdoor Zone for the next camping trip.
Matt Hodgins, Event Director for the show at Upper Street Events said: “We wanted to create a more family friendly experience for those with children wanting to visit The Gadget Show Live. The new extended opening day on 7th April will give more space to families who need to find cost-effective entertainment that works for all ages during the holidays, whilst fulfilling a personal need to check out and play with the latest gadgets.”
