Taylor Wimpey is encouraging residents at its Crown Fields development in Saighton to get fit by giving away vouchers worth up to £170, redeemable on Barossa Havanna style bicycles, in partnership with local company The Bike Factory.

The initiative was launched by the housebuilder to help residents exercise in an easy, inexpensive and enjoyable way, while taking advantage of the winding country roads and unspoiled views surrounding the development.

Elaine Smith, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “Cycling is a fun form of exercise that the whole family can enjoy! Not only does it allow cyclists to get healthy by having fun, it also offers residents at Crown Fields the ideal opportunity to meet their neighbours by forming cycling groups to explore Saighton’s picturesque countryside. Cyclists can enjoy the rural lanes surrounding Crown Fields while soaking up the picturesque views before stopping to rest with a refreshing drink at one of the country pubs nearby. This scheme is sure to have residents at the development jumping on their bikes and making the most of the summer months while working towards a healthier lifestyle together.”

The vouchers are redeemable on the Barossa Havanna style bicycle, which has a retail value of £169.99, or as payment towards alternative models. Anyone using their vouchers at The Bike Factory can also pick up a host of cycling accessories as they entitle the holder to 15 per cent discount on all purchases before 23rd June.

Dave Quinn, managing director of The Bike Factory, added: “As well as being an entertaining and enjoyable way of improving your health, cycling is an eco-friendly way of getting around. Not only does it reduce residents’ carbon footprints but it also saves money as bikes are free to use. These are just a few of the reasons why we are happy to support Taylor Wimpey’s bike initiative.”

Crown Fields currently has a selection of luxury five bedroom detached homes available, offering privacy and space from just £489,950. For families seeking a smaller home, the four bedroom detached Littleton style property is coming soon and will be priced from £459,950.

The development is ideally situated to provide homebuyers with the best of both worlds – easy access to Chester’s city centre combined with the picturesque surroundings of the Cheshire countryside. Located close to a number of well regarded primary and secondary schools, Crown Fields is ideal for families, while commuters benefit from Chester Rail Station being just over three miles away, providing regular trains to Liverpool and Manchester in under an hour.
