Out of town living could save buyers thousands in Nottinghamshire

Money-conscious movers in Nottinghamshire are finding they can save a packet on a brand new home, simply by turning their backs on city living.
By getting away from cramped conditions and the hustle and bustle of the busy centre, clued-up buyers are finding a higher quality of life in peaceful ‘out-of-town’ locations – and saving up to £97,000.
For example, Taylor Wimpey’s Brackens Court development in Bestwood Village is close to miles of beautiful open countryside, yet enjoys everyday amenities on the doorstep – and it’s very well placed for commuting to Nottingham.
But better still, whereas a typical four-bedroom home in urban Nottingham costs an average £247,000, customers choosing a brand new four-bedroom home at Brackens Court will pay as little as £149,995 – an immediate £97,000 saving.
Savings are also available for first-time buyers and those seeking less expansive homes – two-bedroom apartments at Chestnut Grove in Hucknall start from only £93,995 compared with an average £116,000 for a similar-sized property in Nottingham itself.
Kelly French, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “More and more people are taking the opportunity to work from home for at least part of the week, while enjoying a more laid-back and well-balanced way of living in delightful new homes away from our town centres.
“By moving out of town, clever buyers can secure a lot more home for their money!”
