Jeep has announced that it will be the official vehicle partner at the prestigious British Open Show Jumping Championships.

Taking place at Birmingham’s NEC from the 7th April to the 10th April, 2010, the British Open Show Jumping Championships promises to provide the most action-packed programme of equestrian competition and entertainment ever seen at an indoor show.

The world’s leading International show jumpers, including three-times reigning Champion, Robert Whitaker, will be invited to compete for the esteemed title of Britsh Open Chamption 2010 and the £25,000 top prize.

As British Open Show Jumping Championships official vehicle partner, Jeep’s flagship model, the Grand Cherokee, will be used to transport international riders and VIPs to and from the show.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is an impressive vehicle on-road as it is off-road. Its all-round ability combined with excellent towing capacity, make it the ideal car to meet the needs of those involved in equestrian events.

Nigel Land, Marketing Director at Chrysler UK Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be associated with such a prestigious event.

“This new partnership is another major step forward for Jeep’s involvement with the equestrian sport.

“Jeep already has a strong presence within the rural and equine community and the British Show Jumping Championships is the ideal platform to showcase Jeep to the equestrian market, a perfect fit with an audience that mirrors values and capabilities of the brand.”
