Tiny toes in the Pembrokeshire sand

June is a great month for families with pre-school children planning a seaside holiday to Pembrokeshire.
Not only are prices much cheaper than in July and August but there’s plenty of ‘bucket and spade room’ on the beaches and far less queues at local attractions such as Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park.
Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire has a special website for families with young children – toddlepembrokeshire.com – which features more than 60 properties equipped with cot, highchair, baby listener and stair gate and a pre-booking service for buggies, back carriers and baby hampers.
As an example of prices, a week’s stay at Bluebell Cottage (sleeps four) in Broad Haven – just a two-minute walk from the child-friendly sandy beach – in mid June is £498.
